Berry Honored by American Conference with Honorable Mention Nod
Nov 10, 2025 | Men's Basketball
IRVING, Texas - Memphis guard Quante Berry has been named an American Conference Honorable Mention selection, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Berry earned the recognition following a breakout performance in the Tigers' 76-70 season-opening victory over San Francisco on Saturday inside FedExForum.Â
The redshirt junior poured in a team-high 17 points on an ultra-efficient 6-of-8 shooting, including a career-best four three-pointers, while adding four rebounds and a steal in 25 minutes of action.
His 17-point outing marked the fifth-highest scoring game of his career and stood as the top total by any Tiger in the win. Berry also posted a game-best efficiency rating of 18, showcasing his impact on both ends of the floor.
Anchoring a Memphis bench that outscored San Francisco 37-15, Berry's two-way presence proved pivotal in helping the Tigers extend their perfect season-opening record under head coach Penny Hardaway to 8-0.
Memphis is back on the court Tuesday night when the Tigers make the trek down to Oxford, Mississippi to face longtime rival Ole Miss at the SBJ Pavillion. The game tips off at 8 p.m. on SEC Network.Â
