Monique Swaby

Monique Swaby came to the University of Memphis in 1992 on volleyball scholarship and set about rewriting the Lady Tiger volleyball record book.
The Miami, Florida, native was named to the All-Great Midwest Conference Freshman Team following her first season of competition, and continued her torrid play throughout her career. She set the career record for kills with 1,819 and the season mark in kills with 670. She also held the season records for block solos (40) and total attempts (1680) and career marks for digs (1182), block assists (317), total kills (1819) and block solos (122).
She led the Lady Tigers to two Great Midwest Conference volleyball titles and their first-ever bid to the NCAA Volleyball tournament in 1994.
Swaby was twice named the Great Midwest Conference MVP and was selected three times to the All-Great Midwest Conference team.
