Scott Dill

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Scott Dill came to the University of Memphis in 1984 and appeared in two games for the Tigers as a true freshman. He worked as an offensive centre during his first season but was moved to guard in 1985. Anchoring the offensive line, Dill became a starter in 1985 and never relinquished his position as a starter. He did appear in four games as a tackle in 1986 but started 29 of his 33 games as a quick guard. During his senior season, Dill was named to the All-South Independent Team and was selected to play in the Blue-Gray All-Star Classic in Montgomery, Alabama, and in the Senior Bowl Game in Mobile, Alabama. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in 1988 and played for two seasons before being traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1990. Dill worked as an offensive lineman and deep snappers for the Bucs until 1995 when he signed with the Minnesota Vikings. He spent two seasons with the Vikings before retiring and coming back to Memphis.
