Women's Soccer Drops 3-1 Decision To UAB

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The U of M women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision at UAB in Birmingham, Ala., on Friday evening.
Memphis took a 1-0 lead only 1:57 into the contest when junior forward Ali Baker scored on a cross from senior midfielder Michelle Meduri. The Lady Tigers held the lead for over 70 minutes until UAB reeled-off three-straight for the win.
Blazer forward Adrienne Suffridge had both the tying goal and the game-winner, netting her first with just under 15 minutes remaining. Her second tally came four minutes later and the Blazers added their third goal with nine minutes left.
The loss drops the Tigers to 4-12-1 overall and 2-7 in C-USA competition, while the Blazers evened their overall record at 8-8 and improved to 6-3 in conference.
Memphis returns home for its season finale and senior day at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex against South Florida on Sunday afternoon.
