Tiger Scholarship Fund Rebrands as Memphis Athletics Fund
Oct 27, 2022 | Memphis Athletics Fund
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Athletics has announced that its Tiger Scholarship Fund (TSF), the philanthropic fundraising division of the athletic department, has been rebranded as the Memphis Athletics Fund.
Â
"This rebrand is the result of months of analysis and hard work by many people in our athletic department," University of Memphis Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Laird Veatch said. "The underlying mission of our Tiger Scholarship Fund has not changed, and in fact, will only continue to grow and evolve thanks to the many generous supporters who make up the backbone of Tiger Nation."
Â
"As Memphis Athletics moves into the 'new age' of college athletics, the need for alignment and clarity is more important than ever before," Memphis Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Engagement Blair DeBord said. "When we began auditing our current athletics giving structure, we came to realize that the Tiger Scholarship Fund staff and supporting structure performs much more than fundraising for just student-athlete scholarships. Immense impacts are also made on the lives of our student-athletes through capital facility projects, sport-specific giving, and additional fundraising initiatives like the 901Women campaign. We feel the name 'Memphis Athletics Fund' is more reflective of those wide-ranging impacts our supporters have on our student-athletes."
Â
As structured previously, the Tiger Leadership Circle will remain a philanthropic leadership giving society focused on embracing the culture of giving in the Memphis community. Stakeholders who choose to give beyond tickets and parking will experience a heightened level of stewardship and VIP opportunities. For more information on the Tiger Leadership Circle, visit www.GoTigersGo.com/TLC.
