Tigers Fall to the Knights in First Round of the AAC Tournament
May 11, 2023 | Softball
MEMPHIS, Tenn.– The Memphis softball team dropped their game against UCF 7-4 after taking a four run lead to start the game. The Tigers (8-43) held the lead going into the bottom of the sixth inning before giving up four runs allowing the Knights to push ahead to the semifinals of the AAC tournament.
"I thought we had some good moments today, starting out fast and strong, but we need to have a little more consistency and push through to the end." Said head coach Stephanie VanBrakle Prothro. "We need to have better quality play from our pitchers and we clean up more when we are out in the field. We shot ourselves in the foot a few times and have a lot to learn for this season."
