Memphis Athletics, WREG Set to Debut “Inside Memphis Athletics” on April 19

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis Athletics, in partnership with WREG, will debut the first episode of Inside Memphis Athletics presented by Chuck Hutton Chevrolet on Sunday, April 19.
The show is part of a multi-year agreement between Learfield's Tiger Sports Properties and Nexstar Media Inc., announced last August, that expands Memphis Tigers programming across the state. The partnership delivers enhanced coverage through WREG (CBS) in Memphis and WJKT (FOX) in Jackson, providing fans with greater access to the Tigers.
Inside Memphis Athletics will feature in-depth storytelling, exclusive interviews and highlights from across the department, offering a behind-the-scenes look at Memphis Athletics and its student-athletes, coaches and programs.
The show premieres Sunday, April 19, airing at 10:35 p.m. on WREG (CBS) in Memphis and at 10 p.m. on WJKT (FOX) in Jackson. Episodes will air weekly through the summer, leading into the debut of the Coach Charles Huff TV Show ahead of the 2026 football season.
Fans can also stream Inside Memphis Athletics on the WREG+ app, available for free download on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Samsung TV.
As part of the agreement, Nexstar stations will continue as the official broadcast home for Memphis' weekly coaches shows, featuring head football coach Charles Huff, head men's basketball coach Penny Hardaway and head women's basketball coach Hana Haden. WREG's Frank Jefferson, Colin Cody and Kasie Thomas will serve as hosts, delivering expert analysis and exclusive interviews throughout the season.
