Themes Announced for 2026 Tiger Home Games

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis football team has announced its themes for the program's six home games during the 2026 season, the program announced Tuesday. More information on each home game's theme will be available as the season approaches at GoTigersGo.com.
Sept. 5 vs. Arkansas State (6 p.m. Kickoff) – 901 Game
A salute to everything Memphis. A celebration of the culture of what makes up the 901!
Sept. 19 vs. UT Martin (6 p.m. Kickoff) – Youth Day & UofM Student Appreciation
Calling all youth in Memphis! Wear your jersey and represent your squad as we celebrate Youth Day and show appreciation for University of Memphis students. Invite your team, school, church group or youth organization to join the excitement as we highlight and recognize the young people making an impact across our community. Don't miss out on this fun-filled day of football, school spirit and community celebration!
Oct. 10 vs. UAB (Kickoff TBA) – Battle for the Bones / BBQ & Blues
Celebrate the tradition of Memphis Football's Battle for the Bones rivalry and experience the energy of Memphis Music Night! Embracing the rich culture, history and flavors that make Memphis unique, fans can join us early on Tiger Lane for an exciting BBQ contest before kickoff. From award-worthy barbecue to the soulful sounds of Memphis music playing throughout the game, this special night will showcase the spirit, pride and unforgettable atmosphere of the Bluff City.
Oct. 22 vs. East Carolina (6:30 p.m. Kickoff) – The DeAngelo Williams Foundation (Breast Cancer Awareness) / Healthcare Appreciation
For the third consecutive year, the University of Memphis is proud to partner with The DeAngelo Williams Foundation in support of Breast Cancer Awareness and Health Care Appreciation. Join us as we honor the strength, courage and resilience of those who have battled or are continuing to battle breast cancer, while also recognizing the dedicated healthcare professionals who stand on the front lines giving care and support every day. Together, we celebrate hope, awareness and the impact of those fighting for a healthier community.
Oct. 31 vs. Army (Kickoff TBA) – Homecoming / Hero Day (Superheroes & Military & First Responder Appreciation)
Inviting all Tigers back to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium for the annual Homecoming Game and Parent and Family Weekend as the team faces off against the Black Knights. Celebrate the spirit of Homecoming and Halloween with a fun-filled night honoring our everyday heroes, including military service members, veterans and first responders. From Tiger traditions to superhero energy, this special game day will bring the Memphis community together for an unforgettable night of football, family and appreciation.
Nov. 27 or 28 vs. Temple (Kickoff TBA) – Senior Day
Come spend Thanksgiving weekend with the Tigers at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium as they host Temple and honor the senior class.
Head coach Charles Huff's first season in Memphis is set to be an exciting one with eight of Memphis' 11 FBS opponents earning bowl berths in 2025.
The Tigers will have a six-game home slate at the new-look Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, hosting Arkansas State (Sept. 5) and UT Martin (Sept. 19) in the nonconference slate before American Conference contests against UAB (Oct. 10) in the "Battle for the Bones", East Carolina (Oct. 22), Army (Oct. 31) and Temple (Nov. 27).
Memphis also has a stout road slate against the two top Mountain West programs in UNLV (Aug. 29) and Boise State (Sept. 12), along with conference matchups at Charlotte (Oct. 3), Tulane (Oct. 16), South Florida (Nov. 12) and Navy (Nov. 21), with the Green Wave, Bulls and Midshipmen all finishing in the top five in the American in 2025.

Season tickets for the 2026 campaign start at just $99, a $50 reduction from last season, providing fans one of the most affordable ways to experience Memphis football while returning to a transformed Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
A new feature for the 2026 campaign is the addition of the West Side Plaza. All fans with seats in the west side chairbacks (Sections 131, 132, 101-109) will have access to this new area. The full pricing map can be viewed HERE.
Stadium Seating Update
As part of the ongoing modernization of Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, Memphis Athletics has also introduced an updated section and row numbering system for 2026. While section and row identifiers have been adjusted to improve wayfinding throughout the stadium, season ticket members will keep the same seats - only how they are labeled has changed. Updated seating maps and renewal information will be provided directly to ticket holders.
