MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Athletics and locally-owned Accent Jewelers announced a comprehensive partnership agreement centered around premium naming rights, fan experience activation and community engagement.
As part of the multi-year collaboration, which was facilitated by Learfield's Tiger Sports Properties, Accent Jewelers becomes the naming rights partner of the Accent Jewelers Club space inside the newly renovated Simmons Bank Stadium and is now designated as the "Official Jeweler and Gold Buyer of the Memphis Tigers."
"Accent Jewelers is already a valued community business and is now making a significant commitment to the advancement of our athletic programs and fan experience," said Dr. Ed Scott, Senior Vice President & Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Memphis. "We couldn't be happier with their devotion to the Tigers and our fanbase."
Additional provisions through the partnership include prominent in-venue branding and signage across football, men's basketball and Olympic sports as well as promotion and education around Accent Jewelers' various local charitable relationships.
Looking forward, Accent Jewelers also hopes to connect more deeply with the Tiger fanbase by working with Memphis Athletics on the design and creation of Memphis Tiger-branded jewelry pieces to be displayed and sold in-store and inside the Accent Jewelers Club during Tiger Football home games.
"For more than 35 years, Accent Jewelers has been honored to serve the Mid-South. As a locally-owned family business with multiple University of Memphis alumni owners and employees, we see this partnership as an incredible opportunity to celebrate the pride, tradition, and passion that make this city special," said Steven Jenkins, CEO of Accent Jewelers. "It also represents much more than signage or branding – it reflects a shared commitment to excellence, community, and the future of Memphis. We're honored to be part of the Tigers family and look forward to creating lasting memories with fans while supporting the continued success of Memphis Athletics."
Accent Jewelers will also work to enhance the gameday experience for Tiger fans, sponsoring various in-game promotions during Memphis football and men's basketball home games such as the new Accent Jewelers Kiss Cam.
Additionally, the Memphis-based jeweler and gold buyer will be spotlighted during football and men's basketball radio broadcasts across the Mid-South with advertisements on the Memphis Tiger Network.
"The new Accent Jewelers Club represents exactly what we're striving to build as part of the transformed Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium experience," said Greg Gaston, General Manager of Tiger Sports Properties. "Accent Jewelers has been a trusted Memphis institution for decades, and we're excited to partner with a company that shares our commitment to excellence and our passion for this community."
