No. 21 Memphis Falls at No. 3 Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 21 ranked Memphis women's soccer team fell 4-1 to No. 3 Vanderbilt on Friday night at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex.
Natalie Dvorakova scored the lone goal for the Tigers (1-2-0), heading home a cross from Miyu Morota in the 88th minute. The goal was the first of Dvorakova's collegiate career, while Morota recorded her first collegiate assist.
Vanderbilt (3-0-0) scored twice in each half, with Courtney Jones, Margo Matula and Sydney Watts finding the back of the net for the Commodores.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vanderbilt opened the scoring in the 13th minute following a strong sequence of passing, with Jones finishing the move to give the Commodores a 1-0 advantage.
- The Commodores doubled their lead in the 43rd minute when a Memphis own goal made it 2-0 heading into halftime.
- Vanderbilt added a third just after the break. Following a Commodore corner kick, Matula found the back of the net to extend the advantage to 3-0.
- Watts made it 4-0 in the 54th minute, running onto a well-placed through ball before finishing her chance.
- Memphis continued to battle and broke through in the 88th minute. Morota delivered a cross into the box that Dvorakova headed home to make the final score 4-1.
NOTABLES
- Dvorakova's 88th-minute goal was the first of her collegiate career. The midfielder played 22 minutes off the bench and scored on her only shot of the match.
- Morota recorded the first assist of her collegiate career on Dvorakova's goal.
- Memphis recorded seven shots, including six in the second half, while Vanderbilt finished with eight.
- Ai Kitagawa and Taliah Brooks led Memphis with two shots apiece, with each putting one attempt on goal.
- Ava Galani made a career-high five saves in goal for the Tigers.
