Memphis, TN -
Former University of Memphis and current St. Louis Ram All-Pro receiver Isaac Bruce attended the Tigers' practice session on Friday afternoon and later spoke with the team. It has been several years since Bruce has had the opportunity to watch a Memphis workout.
The Tigers finished their fourth practice of the spring and the enthusiasm is apparent to Tommy West and his staff. "I really thought that we would come out today and just go through the paces," West said. "We have worked hard for three days and I expected to see some tired players out here."
"But that was not the case at all. The players were flying around on both sides of the ball and that was exciting to watch," West concluded.
After nearly two hours of practice, West gathered the team, and introduced Bruce. The former Memphis standout told the team how happy he was to be back and how, no matter where he went, he would always be a Tiger at heart.
The Tigers will continue with spring drills today.
