Stephen Gostkowski Performs at All-Star Challenge

MEMPHIS, TENN. - University of Memphis kicker Stephen Gostkowski picked up two prizes after winning two events in the eighth annual Capital One Presents the College Football All-Star Challenge.
Gostkowski won the Around the World Competition and the distance competition, which entitled him to two 50-inch televisions. As an invitee to the event, Gostkowski was also provided the opportunity to travel to Detroit for Super Bowl XL.
Gostkowski was one of 12 players invited to compete in the competition, which was taped by ESPN last week. He was joined by teammate DeAngelo Williams who also showcased his skills.
Memphis and Texas were the only two teams to have two athletes compete in the event. In addition to Williams, the field of skill players included University of Texas standout quarterback Vince Young, University of Alabama quarterback Brodie Croyle, Maryland tight end Vernon Davis, University of Florida wide receiver Chad Jackson, University of Miami wide receiver Sinorice Moss, UCLA quarterback Drew Olson and Clemson quarterback Charlie Whitehurst.
For the first time, kickers competed in the event with Gostkowski joining Connor Hughes of Virginia, Josh Huston of Ohio State and David Pino of Texas.
