• Tori Gross extended her hitting streak to a season high five games with a single through the left side in the fifth inning.
• Leila Dolfo extended her hitting streak to three games with a single to left center in the sixth inning.
• Kimmi Hayden threw out two steal attempts at second base. She now has 11 caught stealing plays on the year. It is the second time this season Hayden has thrown out two steal attempts. She last did it against Alabama A&M on March 12.
• Leila Dolfo had 10 putouts at first base. It is the second time this season she has reached 10 or more in a game.
• The shutout by Southern Miss is the eighth time Memphis has been blanked this season.
• The Tigers are now 5-16 this year when the opponent scores first.
• Memphis is now 2-13 this season when trailing after five innings and 1-15 when out-hit by the opponent.
