Jack Belote Named C-USA Golfer of the Week

IRVING, Texas—Jack Belote has been named the Conference USA Male Golfer of the Week for the second time in his career and first time this season, as announced by the league office Wednesday.

The Memphis-native posted scores of 66-69-70—205 at the Mason Rudolph Championship en route to earning medalist honors and leading the Tigers to their first team championship since 2008. Belote is currently ranked as the 49th best collegiate golfer in country by Golfweek Magazine and was named Golf Digest’s Collegiate Player of the Week for the performance.

He was also the first Tiger golfer to earn medalist honors since Brad Benjamin at the Palisades Classic in 2007. Memphis returns to action Monday, Oct. 4 when they tee it up at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate in Raleigh, N.C.
