Memphis Postgame Notes
Series Notes
• Tennessee leads the all-time series with Memphis 14-9. The Memphis win snapped a two-game losing streak against the Vols.
• This marked the fourth time Memphis and Tennessee have met in regular-season tournaments. The two teams are now tied 2-2 in those meetings. The two in-state rivals met in the 1969 All-College Tournament (Oklahoma City, Okla.), 1988 Volunteer Classic and 1989 Mid-South Classic.
• Today marked only the second time the two rivals have played on a neutral court and marked the first win by Memphis.
• Josh Pastner is now 1-2 versus Tennessee, picking up his first career victory against the Vols.
• The Tigers are now 91-68 against current members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
• The game marked the first overtime contest between the two schools. It also marked the highest scoring game in the series.
• Four of the last five meetings with Tennessee have been decided by seven points or less.

• The Tigers now have an overall record of 10-9 when playing in Hawaiian tournaments.
• The Tigers now have an overall record of 90-57 in regular season tournaments/classics in the program's history.
• The Tigers overall Maui Invitational record is now 8-7.
Career Highs
• Will Barton had a career high 25 points in the game. His previous best was 23 points against Belmont earlier this year. Barton also recorded a career high in rebounds with 11 surpassing his previous best of eight set four times.
• The Barton Brothers (Will and Antonio) combined for 46 points in the game marking the highest total the two have combined for. The previous high was 43 points against Tennessee State during the 2010-11 season.
• Antonio Barton had a career high six boards, finishing second on the team. His previous best was five accomplished twice. Barton also surpassed 20 points for just the second time in his career.
• Adonis Thomas had a career high 19 points. His previous best was 12 points against Belmont in the season opener.
• Chris Crawford matched his career high in steals with three. It marks the eighth game in his two years with three steals in a game with the last time coming against Arizona in the NCAA Tournament.
• Chris Crawford, Stan Simpson and Adonis Thomas all set or tied career highs in blocks with six.
Game Leaders
• Chris Crawford led the team with seven assists, one shy of his career best. Memphis had 13 assists on 36 made field goals (36%). It marked the second-straight game Memphis has had 13 assists or less.
Game Notes
• The game marked the first double overtime contest for Memphis since falling to DePaul, 100-98, in double OT on February 11, 1998.
• Memphis is now 4-0 in its last four overtime games.
• Will Barton recorded his first career double-double with career highs in rebounds and points. Barton finished with 25 points and 11 boards.
