MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis women's golf team fired an opening round 303 in the first round of the Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, South Carolina, Friday. The 303 has Memphis ranked 12^thin the event with two rounds to play over the next two days. Host Furman leads the field after a first round 283 (-5), with North Florida in second with a 287 (-1).

Michaela Fletcher led Memphis with a first day 74 (+2) and is tied for 24^th. Sydney Colwill is a stroke back (75, +3) in a tie for 33rd and Madison Thomas is tied for 49^thafter her first round 76 (+4).

Abby Herrmann and Ana Dawson are each tied for 64^thoverall with a day one 78 (+6).

Furman's Haylee Harford and Tulsa's Lorena Tseng are tied for the individual lead after opening round 68's (-4).

Second round action continues Saturday, with tee times off one and ten. Memphis will tee off of 10 again on Saturday, beginning at 10:30 am (ET).
