Lee had a perfect day at the plate but Tigers drop game three to No 25 UCF

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Kendall Lee had a perfect day at the plate but Tigers drop game three to No 25 UCF 8-0.
Hallie Siems got her second start in the circle of the series for the Tigers. Coming into today's game, Siems is 10th in the AAC in opponents' batting average with .264. This is her 11th start of the season. Siems went three innings, giving up six runs on seven hits. Chyanne Ellett started the fourth inning, making her first appearance of the series for the Tigers. Ellett finished out the game for the Tigers. She went four innings, giving up two runs on three hits. She also had six strikeouts.
Alea White also got her second start in the circle of the series for the Knight. White threw a complete game for UCF, only giving up four hits. She had five strikeouts in the contest.
The Tigers got out of a jam in the top of the first inning with one out, they had a six, two, five inning ending double play. The Tigers followed it up in the second inning with great defensive plays by Kendall Lee and Mia Greenzweig.
In the bottom of the second inning, The Tigers and Knights had a 56 minute rain delay.
After the rain delay, the Knights got on the board with a three run home run by Juliana Wilson. Then with bases loaded, Kyra Klarkowski hit a single to right center making it 4-0. UCF would add two more runs in the inning.
The Tigers and Knights traded zeros for three innings. In the top of the seventh, Jazime Esparza hit a double down the left field line scoring two and extending their lead to 8-0.
Lee was perfect today at the plate, going three for three. She had three of the Tigers four hits.
The Tigers fall to 7-32(0-15) and the Knights improve 33-12-1(12-6-1).
