Tampa, Fla. - The Tigers moved to (17-9, 7-6 AAC) on the first set on Friday night but ultimately fell in five sets to the USF Bulls (9-14, 3-8 AAC). South Florida took the match against Memphis by set scores of 19-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-14, 17-15.

Memphis shined in the first set offensively, with 14 kills on .367 hitting percentage and tallying six blocks while holding South Florida to.172 hitting percentage. USF rallied to win the second set with Memphis then taking the third in part toa 6-2 run to finish the frame.

The Bulls offensive attack overpowered Memphis in the fourth set. The two teams went back-and-fourth with Memphis reaching 14 first. The Tigers gave up four match point opportunities that South Florida was able to capitalize on.

With seven digs in the match, senior Gigi Crescenzo reached 1,000 in her career (1,002)
Miaya Smith had a season high 14 kills on a .400 hitting percentage.
