Tigers Split Double Header with Youngstown State
Mar 08, 2023 | Softball
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tiger softball team split their double header against Youngstown State Wednesday night. The Tigers (3-16) took the first game 2-0 before falling the game two 13-9.
"I thought on the offensive side we took care of business, we were able to put up runs when we needed to." Said head coach Stephanie VanBrakle Prothro. "I thought that the offense stuck with it and stayed with the process the whole game. We still need to keep getting better and keep plugging away and figure out ways to get out of rough situations without giving up runs."
"I thought that Hallie [Siems] did a great job in the first game, again we got a quality start from her. A one-hit shutout, anytime we can get that our chances of winning are pretty good."
Youngstown State 0, Memphis 2
