MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis athletics is teaming up with Delta Dental and TAG Truck Center for the annual Tiger Toy Drive this holiday season.
The toy drive will benefit The Salvation Army of Memphis' Angel Tree Program, which provides gifts for children in Memphis and the Mid-South area who otherwise would wake up Christmas morning with nothing.
Fans can bring a new, unwrapped toy to one of the Memphis men's or women's basketball games listed below to receive up to two free admissions to a future AAC game of your choice.
Men's Basketball
Nov. 4 vs. Missouri (7 p.m.)
Nov. 15 vs. Ohio (7 p.m.)
Dec. 4 vs. Louisiana Tech (7 p.m.)
Women's Basketball
Nov. 10 vs. Samford (2 p.m.)
Nov. 19 vs. Southeastern Louisiana (7 p.m.)
Nov. 23 vs. Murray State (2 p.m.)
All toys and monetary donations raised will stay in Memphis and go towards helping men, women and children who would otherwise be living on the streets.
The Angel Tree Program is open to children ages 12 and younger and seniors ages 65 and older.
It's the season of giving and Memphis Athletics wants you to join our team in making sure that young Tiger fans all around our community enjoy their holidays!
ABOUT SALVATION ARMY ANGEL TREE:
The Salvation Army of Memphis & the Mid-South's beloved Angel Tree program is dedicated to ensuring that every child and senior in need within our community experiences the joy of Christmas morning. The program provides an opportunity for families and seniors to receive new clothing, toys, and gifts, helping to make the holiday season brighter.
The Angel Tree program is a cornerstone of The Salvation Army's commitment to serving our community during the holiday season. Each year, we see the incredible impact that this program has on both the recipients and the donors. It's truly heartwarming to witness the generosity of our community and the joy that these gifts bring to children and seniors alike.
Once registered and accepted, each Angel's NEED and WISH are shared with generous donors in the community who purchase and provide gifts tailored to the Angel's needs and wishes. These gifts are then distributed to families in time for Christmas, allowing parents the joy of placing presents under the tree for their children.
