Tigers in Fifth Place After Day One of Steelwood Collegiate

LOXLEY, Ala. – The University of Memphis men's golf team heads into tomorrow's final round of the Steelwood Collegiate in fifth place at eight under par, just nine strokes off current leader, Illinois.

Sophomore's Diego Lourenco and Yixiang Wang led the team through the first two rounds of play today; Lourenco finished the day three under par in a tie for 14^th place while Wang sits at two under par after tying his career-low 18-hole score in round one (66).

Teammates Jackson McCommon (E) and Andrew Baucum (+1) are not far behind while Cian O'Connor goes into tomorrow's final round at four over par.
