MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Senior Vincent Chenier paced the Memphis Cross Country team with a sixth-place finish at the Twilight Classic on Saturday night, as both the men's and women's programs picked up seventh-place team finishes at Mike Rose Soccer Complex.

The result marks Chenier's top finish in a cross-country meet; he finished seventh at the same event in 2022.
Kenny Guy and Robert Randall also logged top-30 finishes in the season's opening meet.

On the women's side, both Jalyssa Smith and Ann-Marie Braese logged top-30 finishes. Smith was one of 20 competitors to log a sub-19-minute 5K.

Full team results can be found below. The Tigers will travel to Jacksonville, Alabama, to compete in the Alabama Showcase on Friday, Sept. 13.
