Tigers Sit in Third, Baucum in Top Ten Following Opening Day

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of Memphis men's golf team shot a strong outing on the first day of the Hal Williams Collegiate. With the Tigers in a share for third place, Andrew Baucum goes into the final round in the top 10 of players.
Memphis showed great playing on the course today, shooting 11 under par, including a 274 score in the second round to sit in a tie for third place with Kansas State. On the individual side, Baucum led the team with a five under par day to head into tomorrow's final round in a tie for eighth place.
Diego Lourenco, Cian O'Connor and Yixiang Wang all currently sit in a share for 24th place at one under while Jackson McCommon is right behind them at par after two rounds.
Tuesday's final round will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Live results can be found HERE.
