Feb 15, 2025 | Men's Track and Field, Women's Track and Field
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Memphis track and field turned in a weekend full of history at the Bulldog Invite and Open on Friday and Saturday, highlighted by three school records as well as a national record being broken.
Junior Natalie Albert's weight throw of 18.58 meters set the Saint Lucia national record and earned her an event victory, one of 18 wins for the Tigers across the two one-day meets.
Jadaja Baxter tied Cera Chavez's 200-meter time of 23.97 to win the event, and Dejona Simpson, Ivory Davis, Kameron Scille and Gabrielle Cross posted a school-record time of 3:39.58 to win the 4x400-meter relay. While most of the Tigers were in Birmingham, Vincent Chenier was making history of his own, breaking his own school record in the 3000-meter with an 8:04.14-second effort while coming fractions away from a sub-four-minute mile, clocking at 4:00.01.
A full list of the Tigers' 18 wins, 22 top-four finishes and 20 personal bests can be found below. Comprehensive meet results can be found at the links above. The Tigers will head to Southeast Missouri this Friday, Feb. 21, for the final meet before indoor postseason competition
