Tigers Collect Two Wins Sunday Afternoon

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's tennis team collected two wins on Sunday taking down Oklahoma State 5-2 before a 4-0 victory over New Orleans later in the day.

Memphis took the doubles point against the Cowboys after Michael Kouame and Pablo Alemany collected a 6-3 decision over Isaac Becroft and Thomas Gadecki while Mortiz Kudernatsch and Harry Rock, who competed for the first time this semester, got the 7-6 nail-biting win over Ian Bracks and Ben Stecker.

In singles competition, 78^th ranked Conor Gannon picked up a top 100 win over Becroft while Alemeny, Kudernatsch and Luis Sandoval Carvalho took victories to give Memphis the match win.

Against, New Orleans, 59^th ranked doubles duo Gannon and Sam Reeve collected a 6-2 win while Rock and Kudernatsch picked up their second win of the day after cruising to a 6-1 victory over Julian Franzmann and Marc Mail.

It was all Memphis in singles play against UNO with Alemany, Kudernatsch and Reeve breezing to wins to give the Tigers the sweep for the day.

The Tigers head north to take on Northwestern (Friday) and Indiana (Sunday).
