Tigers Heading to Baton Rouge for NCAA Regionals this Weekend

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's tennis team is headed to Baton Rouge for the First and Second rounds of the NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament. The Tigers, who came away with the American Athletic Conference Championship just over a week ago will take on Southern California on Friday, May 2. Time is TBD.
Memphis, who is 10-13 for the season while winning six of its last eight matches, will be making its second appearance in the Big Dance in the last four years. The six-seeded Tigers stunned the conference in route to defeating South Florida (#11), Charlotte (#3), Rice (#2) and Tulsa (#4) last weekend as they were crowned atop the group while hosting the American Athletic Conference Championships at Leftwich Tennis Center.
Leonie Moeller, who went perfect in singles competition while securing two match points for the team during the conference tournament, was named as the Most Outstanding Player by the American.
