Alemany, Gannon Named to American All-Conference Team

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis men's tennis players Pablo Alemany and Conor Gannon have been named to the American All-Conference Team for singles, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

Alemany, a senior from Valencia, Spain, finished the season 18-6 overall in singles play while going a perfect 5-0 in American competition in the two position. Alemany strung together a 16-match winning streak from Feb. 16-April 19.

This is the fourth consecutive season that Alemany has been honored with American postseason accolades.

Gannon, a senior from Dublin, Ireland, was the one slot for the Tigers all season and racked up a 16-6 singles record this season and picked up two wins over nationally ranked opponents. Gannon spent the vast majority of the season in the top 125 for singles, climbing as high as 98.

This is the first American postseason honor for Gannon.
