Seth Cox Named Second Team All-AAC

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis baseball senior utility player Seth Cox was named Second Team All-American Athletic Conference, the league announced on Monday afternoon.

Cox, a two-way contributor for the Tigers, hit .298 on the season to rank second on the team and slugged 10 extra-base hits (4 HR, 6 2B) while driving in 18 runs and scoring 21 times. On the mound, Cox made 10 appearances and three starts, striking out 21 batters over 22.2 innings, earning a save and a win on the year.

In AAC play, Cox made 18 starts and 21 appearances between RF, 1B and DH, leading the Tigers with a .308 batting average. He ranked second on the squad in conference play with an .887 OPS and tied for second with three home runs and tied for third on the team with 14 RBI.

The honors mark the first-career postseason AAC accolades for the former AAC Player of the Week (3/18/24).
