Assistant Coach Lindy Milkowski Selected to Play for Florida Vibe

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Florida Vibe professional softball team has selected Memphis softball assistant coach Lindy Milkowski to join the team, per an announcement by the Vibe Wednesday evening.
The Vibe, a professional fastpitch team based in Bradenton, Fla., is currently in its fourth season. The Vibe finish out the season with a series against the Oklahoma City Spark, followed by three road series against the Orlando Monarchs, Atlanta Smoke and Oklahoma City Spark.
She is set to be with the team through the remainder of the season with 30 games scheduled across six states. This weekend, the Vibe will compete in the Top Gun Series in Kansas City, Mo.
Milkowski joined the Tigers staff at the beginning of June after a successful collegiate career at Iowa, Eastern Illinois and BYU.
In her playing career, Milkowski was a three-time all-conference honoree, being named to the All-Big 12 First Team in 2025 and earning First Team All-OVC honors in 2022 and being selected to the All-OVC Second Team in 2023. Additionally, she was named to the NFCA All-Mountain Region Second Team during her senior season. She also was honored as an NFCA/Easton All-American Scholar Athlete in 2022 and earned the OVC Academic Medal of Honor in 2023.
Milkowski finished her collegiate career with a .303 batting average, recording 77 extra-base hits and 138 RBI. In her final season at BYU, she slugged 18 home runs with a .346 average and a 1.217 OPS. Behind the plate, she threw out 36 baserunners, including 18 as a senior. Those 18 runners caught stealing ranked 11th nationally.
With the selection of Milkowski, all four coaches on the Memphis softball staff have played at the professional level. Head Coach Trena Prater, played in the National Pro Fastpitch League from 2004-09. Assistant coach Nerissa Myers spent five seasons in the NPF, earning NPF Offensive Player of the Year Honors in 2014 with the Akron Racers. Assistant coach Erin Arevalo also spent two seasons 2012-13 in the NPF with the Racers.
