Jul 23, 2025 | Women's Soccer
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis women's soccer announced their schedule for the 2025 season on Wednesday, with the Tigers set for 18 regular-season contests and two exhibitions beginning at Lipscomb on August 2.
Following a home exhibition against Auburn on August 9, the season-opener will also be at home against Southern Miss on August 14. Due to the construction of the new Liza Wellford Fletcher Soccer & Track Stadium, temporary seating will be available in the form of bleachers placed on the track. Fans are also encouraged to bring their own seating for all home matches this season.
With 11 home games and nine road games, head coach Brooks Monaghan's 26th squad will once again play a non-conference slate loaded with competition, including four SEC opponents and a fifth contest in seven years with Iowa State from the Big 12.
Following the season-opening clash with USM, Memphis will host Ole Miss on August 17 as they search for a third consecutive win over the Rebels for the first time in their 30-year history. They will head to Kennesaw State for a match on August 21 before playing host to Vanderbilt and Missouri on August 24 and 28, respectively.
The Tigers' second road game of the year will come at Iowa State on August 31, and they will round out the non-conference schedule with two in-state matchups at home against Tennessee (September 4) and UT Martin (September 7).
The twice-reigning regular season champions will begin their American Conference slate in Charlotte on September 11, battling the 49ers before a two-game homestand against UAB (September 18) and South Florida (September 25). They'll take on Rice in Houston on September 28 and travel to Tulsa on October 2.
Two consecutive home games against North Texas on October 9 and Florida Atlantic on October 12 will precede the Tigers' second and final road stretch of the season, taking on East Carolina and UTSA on October 19 and 23, respectively. They'll close the season back home with Temple on October 26 before the AAC Tournament quarterfinals begin on November 3.
