Memphis Rifle Unveils 2025-26 Schedule Featuring NCAA Champion and Runner-Up
Sep 10, 2025 | Rifle
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis rifle program and head coach Morgan Wilson announced the team's 2025-26 schedule on Wednesday, a slate that features some of the nation's top programs, including both the reigning NCAA champion and runner-up.
The regular season features five contests at home, five on the road and one neutral-site match, and as a member of the Great American Rifle Conference, the Tigers will face five GARC opponents throughout the campaign. All home regular-season matches will be held at the R.F. Fogelman Rifle Range.
"We have another challenging schedule this season that will push us right from the start as we face the reigning national champions in our first match," Wilson said. "It's always a great opportunity to compete against teams of this caliber as we want to continue to push towards that level. We have a lot of experience on the ranges we will compete on this season and I think this will be of great benefit to us, especially with the amount of depth we have on our team this year."
The Tigers open the season at home on Oct. 4 against West Virginia, the 2025 NCAA national champion, before traveling to face Ohio State (Oct. 11) and Akron (Oct. 12). Memphis also visits Kentucky (Nov. 8), the 2025 national runner-up, and hosts GARC matchups with Army (Nov. 15) and Navy (Feb. 1).
The championship portion of the schedule begins in January with the Withrow Open (Jan. 24 in Murray, Kentucky), followed by the GARC Championship hosted by Army (Feb. 28–Mar. 1) in West Point, N.Y. The Tigers will look to earn a spot at the NCAA Championships (Mar. 13–14) at Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio.
