Tigers Ranked No. 10 in Preseason CRCA Poll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis rifle team will begin the 2025-26 campaign nationally ranked, checking in at No. 10 in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) preseason poll. It marks the second-straight year the Tigers have earned the No. 10 preseason ranking.
Memphis is coming off a sixth-place finish in the Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) last season and returns a strong core, highlighted by CRCA All-American Gabriela Zych.
Zych had a standout 2024-25 season, capped by winning two USA Shooting National titles in June with gold medals in both the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Open Final and Junior Final. She also earned her fifth career CRCA All-America honor in the spring, landing on the Second Team in smallbore for the second year in a row. Additionally, she qualified as a smallbore alternate for the 2025 NCAA Rifle Championships.
The Tigers finished last season with a 5-9 record, highlighted by wins over No. 13 Army (4704-4643), No. 15 Jacksonville State (4723-4678), and No. 18 UT Martin (4710-4666).
Defending national champion West Virginia, ranked No. 1 in the preseason poll, will visit Memphis for the Tigers' season opener on Oct. 4 at the R.F. Fogelman Rifle Range.
