Tigers Prepare for Crimson Classic

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Memphis cross country teams will travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to compete in the Crimson Classic on Friday, Oct. 16.
This meet will take place at the Harry Pritchett Running Course with the University of Alabama hosting the meet. The event begins with the men's 8.085k race at 8:30 a.m., followed by the women's 5.891k race at 9:20 a.m.
Friday marks the fourth consecutive year and eighth time overall that the Tigers have competed in the event. At last year's meet, the Memphis men's team finished eighth, while the women's team placed 17th.
Both squads are coming off 21st-place finishes at the Chile Pepper Invitational. Robert Randall led the men with a 17th-place finish in the McDonnell Memorial 8k, while Reese McDevitt paced the women in the Harter's Habanero 5k, finishing 110th overall.
