Clark, Davis Named American Conference Weekly Honorable Mentions

Pair of Tigers receive weekly honors nods after combining for eight extra-base hits in Kajikawa Classic
IRVING, Texas – The University of Memphis softball team placed two on the first set of weekly honors for the American Conference, with Mya Clark and Ariel Davis garnering recognition as honorable mentions per a league release on Monday.
Clark, a two-way transfer from Iowa, shined in her first weekend as a Tiger on both sides of the ball. In the circle, Clark tossed four innings, earning her first collegiate win against Toledo while logging three strikeouts to a 1.75 ERA.
At the plate, she showed strong power with a double, triple and two home runs to bring five runners home. After the first five games of the season, she holds a .444 batting average and a 1.944 OPS.
Davis, a redshirt sophomore from Brandon, Mississippi, displayed a high level of consistency from the leadoff spot, leading Memphis with eight hits over the weekend, with half going for extra bases. During the Kajikawa Classic, Davis hit a double, two triples and a three-run home run that was Memphis' only run production against Arizona State.

Single-game tickets are on sale for the 2026 season. Ticket prices will vary based on seat location (standing room only or reserved bleachers), with weekend tournaments offering day passes, denoted by a color-coded wristband.
Tickets will be free for all current University of Memphis students. Up to two fans ages 17 and under will be allowed free admission per paid adult that enters with them. Please note that tickets for children ages 17 and under will be for the standing room only section. Reserved seating tickets must be purchased if adults would like them to have a seat in the bleachers.
