Tigers Top No. 48 Middle Tennessee, 4-3, in Regular Season Finale

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 4-3 victory over Middle Tennessee on Friday at MTSU's Outdoor Tennis Complex.
Memphis secured the doubles point and picked up three singles victories to edge the Blue Raiders in a tightly contested match.
The Tigers claimed the early 1-0 advantage by winning two of three doubles matches. The pairing of Obrad Markovski/Marko Milosavljevic earned a 6-4 win on court three, while Moritz Kudernatsch/Maxime Dubouch sealed the point with a 7-6 (7-2) victory on court one.
In singles play, Memphis needed three wins to clinch the match and delivered in key spots. Marko Milosavljevic cruised to a straight-set win on court six, posting a 6-1, 6-0 result over Freddy Murray. Leandro Zgraggen followed with a hard-fought win on court four, outlasting Birtan Duran 6-4, 7-6 (11-9).
Maxime Dubouch provided the decisive point for the Tigers, battling to a three-set victory on court two, defeating Karim Al-Amin 7-6 (7-1), 6-7 (4-7), 6-3.
Middle Tennessee picked up singles wins on courts one, three and five, but Memphis' depth proved to be the difference in securing the 4-3 victory.
Memphis finishes the regular season 12-11 overall and will come home to prepare for the American Conference Championship, starting on April 16.
