Mykhailets Records 10th Singles Win as Memphis Falls 4-2 at Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Memphis women's tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision to Tulsa on Sunday afternoon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Memphis battled throughout doubles play, but Tulsa secured the opening point with wins on courts two and three. The Tigers' pairing of Sofiia Mykhailets/Emma Dvorackova held a narrow 5-4 lead on court one before the match went unfinished.

In singles, Memphis earned points from the top and middle of the lineup. Sofiia Mykhailets delivered a strong performance on court one, earning a straight-set victory, 6-3, 6-3. The win marks her 10^th singles win of the season, the most of any player in the conference at line one. Clemence Thouard added another point for the Tigers with a hard-fought win on court five, taking a first-set tiebreak before closing out the match in straight sets.

Tulsa responded with wins on courts three, four and six to clinch the team victory. Natalia Koppova pushed her opponent to a second-set tiebreak on court three, while Emma Dvorackova battled through three sets on court four before falling. Rebecca Frant also competed on court six but was unable to overcome Tulsa's momentum.

The match on court two between Alicia Mall and Tulsa's Isabella Basson was left unfinished in the third set.

Memphis falls to 2-15 and will be back in action on Tuesday, April 7 against Ole Miss for its final regular season match. First serve is set for 4 p.m. in Oxford, Mississippi.
