Smart Announces 2026-27 Men’s Golf Schedule

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis head men's golf coach Blake Smart announces the 2026-27 schedule on Friday.
"The schedule this year features a lot of events that we are very familiar with, but also adds two major additions with UT and Arizona," Smart said. "This is easily our strongest schedule during my tenure, and I am excited to see us continue to compete at a high level on the national stage."
Coming off a historic 2025-26 campaign in which the Tigers qualified for the NCAA Championships, Smart returns four of five starters from that postseason lineup. The returning core is led by PING All-Region Team selection Yixiang Wang, alongside Tobey Kim, Diego Lourenco and Christian Morneau.
Memphis adds five newcomers to the roster, including freshmen Lauri Paasilinna, Harrison Shaw and Tiago Ledgaro. Luke Stennett (Rhode Island) and Chujing Su (Rochester) also join the Tigers as transfers.
The fall season tees off in-state in Knoxville, Tenn., at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate from Aug. 31 to Sept. 1.
Memphis returns to Coldstream Country Club for the fifth consecutive year for the Bearcat Invitational in Cincinnati on Sept. 14–15, followed by the Cullen Brown Invitational in Lexington, Ky., on Oct. 5–6. The Tigers wrap up their fall slate in late October at the Quail Valley Collegiate on Oct. 18–19 in Vero Beach, Fla., before competing at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational from Oct. 31 through Nov. 1 in Loxley, Ala.
The spring portion opens out west in Tucson, Ariz., at the N.I.T. on Feb. 1–2, before the Tigers head to Mobile, Ala., for the Hal Williams Collegiate on Feb. 15–16.
March features a pair of East Coast events: the Colleton River Collegiate in Bluffton, S.C., on March 7–8 and The Johnnie-O at Sea Island in St. Simons Island, Ga., on March 15–16.
Memphis returns home to host the Memphis Intercollegiate presented by Old Dominick at Colonial Country Club on April 5–6, before traveling to West Point, Miss., for the Mossy Oak Collegiate on April 12–13.
Postseason play begins at the American Athletic Conference Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Members Club in Sarasota, Fla., from April 25 to 27. NCAA Regionals will run May 17–19 across six regional sites. The NCAA Championships will follow at the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif. that will start from May 28-June 2.
