Women's Golf Teeing Off at Tennessee Monday

Lady Tigers playing second event of season beginning Monday.
Day One Pairings
The University of Memphis women's golf team had a short turnaround between events one and two on the competition calendar. After posting a sixth-place finish of the 11 teams competing at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas last week, the Lady Tigers went east on I-40 this time for a two-day, three-round event, the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships. The 16 participating teams will play two rounds on Monday, teeing off in a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (ET). The final round will tee off at 9 a.m., Tuesday.
The Event
23rd Annual Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship
The Course
Cherokee Country Club, Knoxville, Tennessee. The course is a par 71 and plays at 5,900 yards.
Memphis' Entry
Memphis will have a team entry and one Lady Tiger competing as an individual at this week's event.

Lady Tiger History at This Event
Memphis last appeared in the field at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate in 2016-17. That tournament was the season-opener for that Lady Tiger roster and marked the return of Michaela Fletcher to the roster after missing a year due to injury. The Memphis entry of Fletcher, Leighann Cabush, Madison Thomas, Sydney Colwill and Emily Goldenstein fired a third round 299 to finish 14th at the 2016 opener.
The Field (16 teams)
Augusta, Charlotte, Chattanooga, Eastern Kentucky, East Tennessee, Kent State, LSU, Maryland, Memphis, Mercer, Middle Tennessee State, South Dakota State, Southern Miss, Tennessee, UTSA and Tulane.
Memphis will be paired with South Dakota State and East Tennessee State in the opening day. The threesomes will go off holes 12 through 15 for the team entry. Gallegos will go off hole 17 with individual competitors.
