Tigers Fall on the Road at No. 25/25 Tulane

Sophomore quarterback Seth Henigan completed 26-of-41 passes for 312 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, while wide receiver Eddie Lewis had three catches for a career-high 94 yard and two scores. Running back Brandon Thomas rushed for his eighth touchdown of the season.
Defensively, defensive back Quindell Johnson had a game-high 13 tackles, including 11 solo, to go with a tackle for loss and a pass breakup. Linebacker Xavier "Zay" Cullens totaled 10 tackles, while linebacker Tyler Murray had eight stops and 0.5 tackles for loss.
Trailing 35-0 at halftime, Memphis battled back in the second half, reeling off 21-straight points to cut the deficit to 35-21. The Tigers cut the advantage to 10 with 4:23 remaining on a 55-yard touchdown pass from Henigan to Lewis, but were unable to get any closer.
The Memphis Tigers will be back on the field for Homecoming on Saturday, Nov. 5 when the team hosts UCF at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
