Memphis Dominates Cincinnati

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Tigers moved to (16-8,6-5) on Friday night after sweeping the Cincinnati Bearcats (25-22,25-21,25-13) and completing the seasons sweep.
In the first set, Memphis and Cincinnati went back-and-forth until the set sat at 19-al. Memphis finished the set on a 7-3 run. Set two was more of the same has the Bearcats kept pace with Memphis until the Tigers pulled away again.
The final frame was all Memphis. The Tigers led by as many as 12 points and never let the Bearcats get within striking distance winning the third 25-13.
Notables
- Memphis held Cincinnati to hitting second lowest hitting percentages (.099) of the season including -.024 during the third set.
- Senior Kate Bass led Memphis with 10 kills on a .474 hitting percentage plus a match high five blocks while graduate student Miaya Smith had a match high 12 kills on a .375 hitting percentage.
- After tallying 10 digs tonight, senior Gigi Crescenzo is only five away from reaching 1000 in her career.

The Tigers are back on the road next weekend as they travel to Florida. They will face USF Friday night and #25 UCF on Sunday afternoon.
