Tigers Turn in Top-10 Finishes at AAC Championships

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The University of Memphis cross country team competed at the American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships Saturday morning in Greenville, N.C., at Overton's Lake Kristi. The Tiger women were led by Chloe Figgins' 29^th-place finish in the 6K race (21:53.7), and finished ninth as a team (258), while the men's squad finished 10^th (286) in the 8K race – led by Vincent Chenier (51^st, 24:46.2).

Figgins has paced the women in all five races this season while Chenier has led the men in four-of-five.

Chadlis Shreffler was the second Tiger woman to cross the finish line (46^th, 22:24.6), followed by Jalyssa Smith (49^th, 22:39.5), Ann-Marie Braese (69^th, 23:05.1) and Ashleigh Anderson (72^nd, 23:11.8).

On the men's side, Sammy Mohamed (53^rd, 24:54.6), Robert Arnold (56^th, 25:01.5), Robert Randall (65^th, 25:25.5) and Liam Walsh (79^th, 26:09.5) rounded out the top-five finishers for Memphis.

Up next, the Tigers turn their attention to the NCAA South Regional in Gainesville, Fla., on Friday, Nov. 10.
