Apr 15, 2023 | Baseball
ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Memphis baseball team won game two of its three-game series with UCF, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon at John Euliano Park in Orlando. Left-handed pitcher Dalton Fowler went seven innings and earned the win and closer Dalton Kendrick picked up his NCAA-leading 10th save of the season.
With the win, Memphis improves to 19-17 (3-5) on the season. The Knights dropped to 19-16 (2-6) on the year with loss.
"Really good win today for us," head coach Kerrick Jackson said. "Solid outing again from Fowler. He came out and set the tone and kept them at bay. We were able to string some hits together and push some runs across. We played solid defense for the most part. Great job all around and I'm looking forward to coming out and winning a series tomorrow."
