Tigers' Road Trip Culminates with Trip to Troy

TROY, Ala. – Memphis women's basketball will conclude their three-game road trip on Saturday with a battle with Troy at 2:00 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Tigers (2-6) will be looking to break a five-game losing streak and pick up their first road win of the season after falling to Southern Miss, 82-69, last Sunday in Hattiesburg.
Fifth-years Tilly Boler (16.4 points, 3.0 rebounds) and Alasia Smith (11.0 points, 7.4 rebounds) have led the Tigers through eight games, along with redshirt junior Elauna Eaton (11.5 points, 41.7% three-point shooting).
The Trojans (4-5), led by head coach Chanda Rigby in her 13th season, are coming off a decisive 109-47 home victory over Oakwood. Next week, they will be competing in the Cherokee Invitational which includes Arkansas, Liberty and Toledo. Junior forward Zay Dyer leads the team with 12.4 points and 8.9 rebounds. From 2019-20 to 2023-24, no Sun Belt basketball team – men's or women's – won more games than the Trojans (110).
Memphis and Troy faced off for the first-ever time last season, a 100-88 Tiger victory in Memphis on Dec. 2, 2023. Madison Griggs scored a game high 22 points, and Alasia Smith had 16 points and 14 rebounds as the Tigers led wire-to-wire.
