Cross Country to Commence Season at Twilight Classic

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Cross Country team will kick off the 2024 season on Saturday night, running at the City Auto Memphis Twilight Classic at Mike Rose Soccer Complex in Memphis.
The women's team will run a 5K race starting at 9:20 p.m. with the men following with the four-mile race scheduled for 10 p.m.
"The Twilight Classic will be a great way to find out where we're at," said head coach Kevin Robinson. "The energy, the enthusiasm and the maturity in the entire program have been great. Excited to get back in the action and figure out who we are."
In last year's Twilight Classic, Vincent Chenier paced the Tigers with a 12-place finish in 20:19.59. Robert Arnold (15th, 20:30.06) and Robert Randall (29th, 21:01.16) also logged top-30 finishes in the opener.
On the women's side, former Tiger Chloe Figgins finished third with a time of 17:42.88, a personal best at the time. Ann Marie Braese finished 13th in 19:02.27.
