
Women's Soccer Coaches Named South Region Staff of Year for Third Consecutive Season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the third consecutive season, Memphis women's soccer head coach Brooks Monaghan and staff were named the South Region Coaching Staff of the Year by United Soccer Coaches.
The Tigers – coached by Monaghan, Jonny Walker, Jordan Darling and Ted Bartels — went 13-2-4 en route to a regular season AAC championship, the program's 15th title with all of them coming with Monaghan at the helm. They went unbeaten in conference play for a second consecutive season and were one of eight schools to spend the entire regular season in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25.
Drivers of individual recognition as well as team success, Memphis also saw sophomore Finley Lavin win AAC Defender of the Year, and Ai Kitagawa was named the conference's Freshman of the Year and Second Team Best XI by TopDrawerSoccer at the national level. Lavin and Momo Nakao were named to the All-Conference First Team, while Maddie Eskin, Anna Hauer, Ashley Henderson, Kitagawa and Anne-Valerie Seto also received All-Conference honors.
