Tigers Hand No. 22 Clemson 4-3 Loss Saturday Afternoon

MEMPHIS, Tenn. The University of Memphis women's tennis team picked up a big win Saturday afternoon as the Tigers took down No. 22 Clemson 4-3 at Leftwich Tennis Center.

While Clemson picked up the doubles point, Memphis came back singles wins from Leonie Moeller, Sofia Mykhailets and Clemence Thouard to take a 3-1 lead in the match.Â

The Tigers in orange got two singles victories to tie the match up at three before Alice Amendola took the 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 tie-breaking win to give Memphis the top-25 victory.

Memphis is back in action on Friday, March 21 when they play host to Rice. First serve is set for 5 p.m. at Leftwich Tennis Center.
