Mar 27, 2025 | Women's Basketball
ATLANTA – Memphis assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Harlyn Wyatt was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Thirty Under 30 honorees on Thursday morning.
The program was created to recognize 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches aged 30 and under at all levels of the game. Per the WBCA, each honoree has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude and professional association involvement.
Wyatt, an Atlanta native, completed her second season at Memphis, having spent two seasons at Gardner-Webb under head coach Alex Simmons prior to joining the Tigers. An effective developer of post players, Wyatt's guidance of Memphis forward Alasia Smith saw the Runnin' Bulldog-turned-Tiger finish her career ranked 33rd all-time in career steals (405) and 46th in career rebounds (1,336).
Prior to GWU, Wyatt spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant Coach at the University of Nevada, Reno. During her time with the Wolf Pack, she aided in player development, recruiting and scouting opponents. A 2019 graduate of Tulane, Wyatt finished her collegiate career ranked eighth in Green Wave history with 110 career blocks. She also participated in the WBCA's "So You Want to Be a Coach" program in 2019.
