CHICAGO – Memphis women's basketball fifth-year guard Tilly Boler signed a WNBA training camp contract with the Chicago Sky, the team announced on Wednesday.
WNBA training camps will begin on Sunday, April 27, a few weeks before the Sky's season opener on Saturday, May 17, against the Indiana Fever.
Boler made a big offensive impact in her first and only year with Memphis, ranking third in the conference with 17.0 points per game and earning the program's first All-Conference First Team selection since 2013-14.
"Playing pro basketball has always been my dream, and I'm blessed and excited to get to Chicago and prove myself," said Boler. "I want to thank my coaches and teammates at Memphis and Jackson State. I can't wait to show what I can do."
The Meridian, Mississippi, native shot 40.8% from three-point range in conference play and led the Tigers in scoring in 18 of 29 games. Her 10 games of 20 points or more was second in the conference, and she posted another five games with exactly 19 points.
Boler is the first Tiger to sign a WNBA training camp contract since Ariel Hearn, who graduated in 2016 and signed with the Phoenix Mercury.
