Tigers Advance to American Athletic Conference Championship Semi-Finals

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's tennis team advanced to the American Athletic Conference semi-finals after securing the 4-2 win over No. 7 Charlotte Friday morning.
The Niners' opened the match with the doubles point after 6-4 victories from Vasco Prata/Matias Iturbe and Lance Cochrane/Ivan Dreycopp.
The Tigers made a comeback after Sam Reeve and Pablo Alemany both locked in quick wins on courts two and six, respectively. Luis Sandoval Carvalho grinded out a 6-0, 6-7, 6-2 win on court five before senior Conor Gannon sent the team to the semi-finals with a 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 victory on court one over Vasco Prata.
Memphis will play against No. 3 Florida Atlantic in the American Athletic Conference semi-finals Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at Leftwich Tennis Center.
