
Tigers Welcome Vieira-Tuck for 2025-26 Season

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis men's basketball program is excited to announce the signing of Daniel Vieira-Tuck, a versatile 6-foot-4 guard for the 2025–26 season.

Vieira-Tuck brings a wealth of international experience and a dynamic skill set to the Tigers' backcourt.

A native of Arlington, Texas, Vieira-Tuck has spent the past year honing his craft with Overtime Elite's Diamond Doves, following a season with S.L. Benfica in Portugal's Liga Portuguesa de Basquetebol, where he put up 9.1 points and 2.3 rebounds for the club based in Lisbon, Portugal.

He also represented Portugal at the 2023 FIBA U20 European Championship, averaging 14.5 points, 4.3 steals and 2.5 rebound per game, showcasing his all-around ability on the international stage. ​

This past season with Overtime Elite, Vieira-Tuck played just 9.5 minutes per game while averaging 2.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists each time out.

Vieira-Tuck has had a well-traveled basketball career. Before playing in his mother's home country of Portugal, he played for Colorado Prep (Westminster, Colorado), BigTyme Sports Prep (Rockwall, Texas) and Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, Texas).
